Thanks Frank! This is a great opportunity to receive CERT training.  All GERC ham radio members who are seriously interested in helping to provide mobile communications in the disaster affected neighborhoods must wear CERT identification  badges inorder to have access across police barriers, etc.

For those of you who have gone through the CERT training should consider more advanced training called the "Emergency Medical Responder Course". Basic first aid is an 8 hour class but EMR is 48 hours. This puts the CERT member between the baisc and EMT level.

West Coast Emergency Preparedness Center offers the EMR course in addition to triage and ICS classes.
