The Annual Meeting was held on March 10, 2005

The Annual Meeting of the Los Racimos Home Owners Association was held on March 10, 2005.
Three open seats were filled through elections.
Jenny Farkas, Paul MacDonald and Megan Good were elected to fill these open seats. Board Members previous and still serving on the board are Jim Koski, Tresha Miller, Ed Walsh and Bill Isenhart.
We hope you all come out to the meetings and get to know the board members and that we can can all work together to make our community better.

JENNY FARKAS

Jenny Farkas represents the residents who currently have no voice on the board, the parents with young children and the college student. She is a full time mother and a part-time ASU student who firmly believes that if you are not willing to be part of the solution, you are part of the problem. She is currently working in conjunction with the Board of Directors on the newly formed advisory committee. Apart from the committee, she is in the process of creating a neighborhood watch program and a phone directory for the residents in her building. Los Racimos has been her home since September of 2001.

ROBERT LYNNE, CPA

I wish to serve on the Board as Treasurer, working as a financial professional to oversee the accounting and budgeting of the organization. I hold a masters degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin and a masters degree in international management from Thunderbird University. I am a Certified Public Accountant with my own public accounting practice located in the East Valley. In addition, I am a licensed Realtor working with real estate professionals and investors who are my corporate tax clients.

Previously, I served as the Finance Committee chairperson and helped to create the first HOA rules and regulations handbook. In addition, I performed an internal audit of the property management company, which resulted in the termination of their contract with us. I have been associated with Los Racimos for seventeen years, six of those years living as a resident here. I currently live in nearby Dobson Ranch but own three units at Los Racimos as an investor.

It is my intention to ensure the integrity of the Board’s financial decisions and the upholding of its fiduciary responsibilities to the homeowners. I am committed to improving the quality of life and property values at Los Racimos for all residents, homeowners and investors. I look forward to carrying out these tasks.

Sincerely,
Bob Lynne

DAVID WEIN

As a homeowner since 1983 (my son lived here for 15 years until 1999) Los Racimos has been my primary residence 8 months of the year, for the past 5 years. During this time, I have actively participated by attending monthly board meetings, serving on committees, being appointed to the Board last May--and I have been President since then. At that time I took an objective and business-like approach to my responsibilities, by meeting with our management company, Attorney, Board members and other residents to better understand what priorities most affected our community...and what needed to be addressed. I also read books and articles, attended meetings and seminars and learned a great deal about community management.

My primary concern has been and continues to be "what is in the best interest of Los Racimos. I have encouraged more homeowners to become more involved in our community--during my frequent "walks & talks" throughout the community, by opening the clubhouse to residents, and through the recently formed Advisory Committee. And it has become apparent that our priorities which include proper maintenance of our aging community (paving the parking lots, repairing roofs, improving the playground) and making Los Racimos a safer & more enjoyable place to live, are most important to us all. PP To be an effective Board Member requires a strong commitment and understanding of what needs to be done...and how to do it. My professional business experience in Credit & Finance and Consulting background, and my community involvement (as President of the Board) in strengthening controls & procedures, working closely with the Treasurer and helping to speed up collections & utilize a lockbox system for faster & more accurate payment processing, qualifies me to represent each of you as a Board Member. And, if elected, I assure you that my interests will continue to be your interests--and my primary concern will be "what is best for our community". Thanks for your support. David M. Wein.

RHONDA SPINDLER

Rhonda Spindler has also expressed interest in running for the board but has not yet submitted a personal profile. We hope to have one posted for her soon.

Additional nominations can be taken from the floor at the annual meeting.
