A black lab was found walking on Westport Road near Ambridge Circle. A lady picked him/her up. She stopped in at our place, because someone told her we had labs. This dog is not ours. Since we recently had to put our black lab to sleep, my husband was taken aback and didn't get the lady's phone number or knew if the dog was male or female. He just said the dog looked old, well-fed and had on a collar but no tags. The lady and her husband are combing the area. If they can't find the owner, they'll take the dog to the Humane Society.

May I suggest that you call East  Louisville Animal Hospital 4158 Westport Road,  897-1000.  Dr. Edlin in particular raises labs and may know the dog or check to see if it has an electronic inbedded chip, since they do those I think.
