WE are responsible for....

Posted in: SANA
We are very fortunate to have LEOs live in our neighborhood. I have friends that are LEOs, and I am well aware the police risk their own lives daily to protect us, and sometimes stop crime as it is beginning to happen. However, it is act fact that MOST times they take the report from the victim(s) AFTER the crime has been committed.

The police are NOT, and NEVER will be ''legally responsible'' for YOUR safety.

EVERY ADULT has a responsibility to protect themselves and those dependent upon him/her.

Everybody talks about AWARENESS - but few people actually are. An easy way to start is to stop going about life obliviously. But it takes a little practice.

Here's a method to help you start your awareness ''development''.

From now on when you are on the way to the grocery or wherever, look for 10 little insignificant things you never noticed before, e.g. that house has a vine on the side, or there are 4 dumpsters behind that building, or there is a little creek next to that house and a bird feeder, or that guy leaving the store has green striped shoes, and Colts jacket, etc.

I know it sounds silly but do it once every day, and soon you will not only know a lot more detail about your area -but your observation and retention skills will improve dramatically.

More later.
