Lovely Entrances
We could build lovely brick entrances to our Sunshine Acres subdivision, landscaped with nice evergreen shrubs, lovely flowers, and accent lighting. |

Beautification
Lisa I believe that we all need to get the sidewalks repaired. Much of my sidewalk is broken and the city has begun working on them but as I found out today at the meeting there may be a limit to that. My wife Lisa feels that more people would get out of their houses and walk if there were streetlights installed. In a neighborhood like this w/o the overhead wires, subtle and less intrusive lighting would look fabuilous. As anyone who has walked these streets, Sunshine Acres has a vast and diverse collection of trees, bushes, shrubs, flowers etc...Someway of recognizing these special creatures would ultimately create a natural beauty that cannot be oversome. I could go on and on but for now... |

Sidewalk Repair Program
Rick, your timing couldn't be better here! Please let Lisa know I am thinking the same as her, and have requested a sidewalk assessment of our neighborhood via Metro Call 311, as there is a Sidewalk Repair Program (see the page I put up on our Community Pages). Here is a link to the form: http://www.louisvilleky.gov/NR/rdonlyres/467100AD-90FB-40CD-B5F1-E77507DA3225/0/SidewalkRepairProgram.pdf Please call Metro Call 311 and request the same. If they get enough calls from us, maybe that will help. I totally agree with the lighting, and we have a few good examples of what we could have in our neighborhood already in our neighborhood, as there are a few street lamp posts. We will need to find out how this works, and then proceed accordingly. |
