School Board representation
A School Board Commissioner is elected to serve the district he/she represents along with the entire JCPS system by attending Board meetings. The Commissioner for District 5 has been elected but has she been serving? So far in 2005 she has missed 56% of the meetings, in 2004 she missed 57%, in 2003 she missed 52%, in 2002 she missed 52% and in 2001 62%.
Some of the schools most in need of assistance are in this district. We need someone actively working at board level to help get the assistance needed.
