The Kroger's whereabouts

I think you're right on the money, Mary Jo. This is an opportune time to invest in Old Louisville. People we know who say they wouldn't want to live here do so for two reasons: 1) a myth that we're ''in a bad neighborhood'' or 2) lack of necessary shopping. Well, if the Kroger doesn't move it probably won't improve, so the problem there will remain the same, and a spillover from Clarksdale into affordable housing will make the area less appealing to potential residents and investors. We need to know what's up--to sit side by side with the Kroger people and those behind the housing. I think when the hype clears, the Kroger will be the more appealing choice.
