To those who would shut down our restaurants along with the irresponsible businesses that sell package liquor to drunks, try being pro-active, instead. Organize your opposition to those businesses, stand at their doors and demand that they clean up their acts. Call the police every single time you are panhandled, every single time you witness public drunkenness on our streets. Don't turn the clock back on Old Louisville, and drive our property values back down, just because you don't have the time or the inclination to deal with the problems of your neighborhood, head-on.
