City Hall Improvements

Posted in: Woodlawn Park
As of the last City Council meeting, Mayor Robertson has implemented a Comittee to address the concerns of making landscaping improvements to City Hall. I have been named chairman of said committee and will be selecting members soon to participate in the beautification project. Money for this project has been appropriated for use by the city in the form a grant and has no effect on our tax dollars. In conjunciton with this process, the Kentucky Department of Transportation has agreed to install a parking area to the front of city hall at no cost to the City of Woodlawn Park. This work will be done along with the widening project of Westport Road over the course of the next several months. It is our expectation that none of the work to be done by the City of Woodlawn Park will be disturbed or damaged by the widening project. For any questions or comments please contact me.

Are you crazy?

The Mayor has lost it! We have a huge eye sore in our city right now at Beechwood Road! We have residents fighting about fences and have created a terrible first impression as you enter our city off Westport Road! There are no immediate plans to start landscaping and or build a uniform fence with small bushes in front of it. It seems that one project could be completed before starting another one. Oh, I get it, the Mayor has to have his 2nd house ( he basically said in yesterday's paper that it won't be used as a city hall) landscaped for his pleasure! And what about the widening contruction? They are always changing the plans. You are not thinking clearly Scott! And by the way Scott, why was the Mayor's end of Westport Terrace paved before Kinloch Road? That road has needed repairing for a long time!

Mayor Robertson requested a committe to address the rest of the exterior improvements to city hall. Money for this provject was aquired form Metro Government and is to be used by September. The widening of Westport Road is to include some of the improvements at city hall done by KDOT.

Beechwood Road Tree Committee has the responsibility to ensure the completion of that project.

Kinloch Road may be disturbed by pending MSD improvements.
