Boats, RVs, & ''For Rent'' signs

Posted in: Graymoor-Devondale
Isnt it a fact that all boats, rv, etc must be parked behind the outermost corner of your house? Any information would be helpful. Seems like i remember this from a past problem but am unable to find the information now. Also arent all ''for rent'', ''house for sale'', ''garage sell'', signs only allowed to be posted in they yard of the person that is having such a sell? There continues to be a problem of ''for rent'' signs being put up on the corner of Herr Ln and i believe Greenlawn Rd. The person putting this sign up is using a ladder because the sign is about 15 feet off the ground.

Parking

You are correct. Code of Ordinances, Chapter 72, sub-section ''J'' states, ''It shall be unlawfulfor any personto: (J) Park, store or maintain any disabled vehicle, boat, trailer, camper, recreational vehicle, mobile home, bus or motor truck exceeding 1.5 tons load capacity on any public or private property in a residential area except that where the parking, storage or maintenance of the vehicles is further from any abutting public way than the nearest building line to that abutting public way.'' If you feel a vehicle is illegally parked or stored, please call our police department. Also, foe sall sign on Greenlawn is gone. Thanks for your questions, Leo Gadlage, City Council.

Signage

We allow real estate signs and yard sale signs to be placed on Friday through Sunday. If a sign is left on the right of way after Monday morning, it is removed. If any questions, call the police department or our code enforcement officer. Thanks, Leo Gadlage, City Council

camper parking

I have a pop-up camper that is parked inside my garage. The problem that I have is cleanup after a camping trip that included rain. Anyone with this type of camper knows that it must be dried and aired out as soon as possible on return from trip or mildew and rot will follow. That means I must raise camper in driveway for a day or two to accomplish this. Do I need a permit each time I do this?
