Spring Junk Drop-off and Recycling Day

The Spring junk drop-off day is scheduled for Sunday, April 23, from 10 a.m.?–4 p.m. at the Outer Loop Landfill, located at 2673 Outer Loop. This is an opportunity for Louisville Metro residents to dispose of bulk waste items at no charge.

Items accepted include appliances, furniture and mattresses. Residents are asked to separate metal items from their other junk. The metal is recycled and saves valuable space in the landfill. Freon is will be properly removed from appliances.

Unacceptable items include yard waste, hazardous materials, paint, tires and commercial trash.
