Holy Rosary

Mar 2, 2002
The news has been full of Holy Rosary's attempt to raise the one million dollars Spaulding says they must put together or they close this spring. The total so far is 360-to 380 thousand, depending on who is making the announcement. We may not be Catholic or believe in private girl's schools but we do have to consider the consequence of an empty school building in the neighborhood. Not that this might stay closed for long. Holy Name did't, nor did St Ann's . Heywood elementary did for a very long time and became quite a problem for the neighborhood around it. Hazelwood has had several uses in it.
Male took a major drive to save the building and put it into offices. I don't see that happening here. If Rossary closes will De Sales be far behind?

Their dance will bring in some more money. So has the walk. I know they are working very hard and even if you are not Catholic, you have to give them credit for what they have done. And you have to give themm credit for having a 100% rate of graduates going on to college. That means a lot. It means that the 150 or so students they have are serious about their studies and are not out raising hob like some of the kids. That got my vote in the form of a check, not for a lot but for something. The more people who do that the better chance they have of making it.

If you want to do the same, send your check for whatever amount you wish or can to Holy Rosary, 4801 Southside Drive, 40214
