"BIG PLANET" MAKES MONEY - AND SAVES IT

Maybe you've saved a few bucks on your dry cleaning. Spent a little less at the health club r placed a bigger ad for less cash. But if you enjoyed any of the benefits and discounts provided to LLDI members by other LDDI members (and see the (discounts on page 4 if you didn't), three things happened: you saved cash, you supported a LDDI business and you helped LDDI fulfill its mission to market Lower Downtown.

It's a win-win-win. And now it's even better.

"We're always looking for way to support our members and increase business in LoDo,' says LDDI Executive Director Dan du Bois. "And now, we're partnering with Big Planet to not only support one of our members, but to bring funds to LDDI."

The Big Planet program, headed by Program Coordinator and LDDI Member Shelley O'Neill, is basically a virtual shopping mall where LDDI members can purchase products - from retailers like JcPenney, Border Books & Music and Toys'R Us - and "donate" funds to LDDI.

"LDDI will have an account number that members can use while shopping online," says O'Neill. "And every time someone enters the LDDI code and makes a purchase, a percentage is given to LDDI."

The funds this program can generate will support LDDI and its efforts while often providing members with discounts on everyday products.

"When a kid comes to your door to sell candy, you buy it to help the school, but you don't really need it" says O'Neill. "This program is different because you can conveniently purchase almost anything you need at the same - or lower - prices than you can buy in the store?….while making a donation to a worthy cause."

Shopping with Big Planet is an easy process:

2. Click "REGISTER" at the top of screen
3. Enter the LDDI Account number: 4920146001
4. Click "SUBMIT"; then "REGISTER ME."
5. Complete the registration form, choose user name and password.
6. Shop 'til you drop!
