One of my goals this year is to increase our current membership, as well as to recruit current members to help with our many continuing adventures. Our neighborhood is wonderfully diverse, charmingly historic and large enough to be a big player in our city. Your membership money goes towards the McKinley Library book fund, neighborhood improvement projects, event advertising, MENA dues, stamps, phone, our Post Office box, the production of our newsletter and those pesky miscellaneous expenses that crop up relating to month-to-month activities.
Please consider renewing or joining today. I welcome any and all calls from anyone in the neighborhood that may have questions or concerns about joining. With close to 10,000 households making up East Sacramento we can be proud of our place among other neighborhoods in the Greater Sacramento area. I know there are a multitude of big ideas for our neighborhood and I?’d love to turn them into realities this year ?– but I need your help. There are always events to plan, people to recruit to help with the home tour and numerous events, members to coax into volunteering with us at one of our events and concerned residents that want to help protect our boundaries and preserve our historic properties and neighborhood. If we can?’t find a niche for your interests we can create one!
