MENA changes its name

To better reflect our membership, the MENA board voted during the January board meeting to officially rename the neighborhood group to the McKinley East Sacramento Neighborhood Association.
The name change was primarily brought about by several MENA members who felt the name as they read it did not serve all of East Sacramento, and felt the new name would once and for all make it clear that MENA serves all of East Sacramento. Several board members were hesitant to make any name changes originally due to the name being established already in the community. However, all board members eventually agreed that the new name will be more inclusive and welcome all residents of East Sacramento.
