East Sacramento is a wonderful place to live. For those who are considering remodeling their homes, who like to see how others apply design and use principles or who just like to see how others live, mark your calendars for the MENA Home Tour, Sunday, September 28, 2003.
The six homes on the tour offer ideas and inspiration on how East Sacramento home owners have built, updated, upgraded, enlarged or converted their spaces to suit changes in needs, family size, and lifestyle. Each of the projects have dealt sensitively with the changes in appearance and use, keeping their neighbors involved in planning and execution to maximize satisfaction of all affected by the project.
Homes include one new construction, several second floor additions, along with other space expansions and remodeling features. Homes on the tour are:
?§ 3229 McKinley Boulevard
?§ 555 37th Street
?§ 425 San Miguel Way
?§ 411 45th Street
?§ 1200 38th Street
?§ 1043 41st Street
The Home Tour provides an opportunity to view some very attractive East Sacramento properties and is MENA?’s most important fund raising event. Proceeds from the 2001 tour were applied to the Welcome to East Sacramento sign in McKinley Park at the corner of Alhambra and H Street, support for the American River Clean Up, donations to several community events, the Architectural Awards in 2002 and rent and meeting expenses at the Shepherd Garden and Arts Center.
The tour will be held Sunday, September 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can buy advance tickets for $15 per person at William Glenn, Two Potted Ladies, Room and Company, and Garden Elements.
Tickets are $20 the day of the tour and can be purchased at the MENA ticket table in front of 3239 McKinley Boulevard between 9:30 and 4:00.
Hope we?’ll see you there!!
