Integrated communications provider SureWest Communications has begun construction of its state-of-the-art cable TV, high-speed Internet, and telephone network in East Sacramento. The wiring installation will follow the same route as existing TV and telephone cabling right-of-way in our area.
SureWest officials say they ?“promise the least amount of disruption and the highest quality of work.?”
Residents will be notified though a postal delivered letter with details about the process and the locations where construction is to occur. SureWest employees will knock on doors of homes 5-10 days before work begins to answer any questions. If residents are not at home, a door hanger will be left with a number to call to address any issues or concerns.
SureWest says that no sooner than 72 hours prior to construction, street signs will alert neighbors that the network construction is about to begin. SureWest workers also will inform residents about accessing their home?’s yard to work on the network.
If there is a pause in network construction in excess of 10 days, SureWest says residents will be notified in-person and by door tags before work resumes again.
All SureWest workers are licensed and insured and will be clearly identified with badges, uniforms and vehicle signs.
If any East Sac resident encounters a problem or some inadvertent property damage occurs, SureWest wants to be notified immediately so the company can rectify the situation at the earliest opportunity. The toll free number to call is 1-888-946-3477.
SureWest has been approved by the Sacramento Metropolitan Cable Television Commission to deliver triple-play service including up to 260 channels of digital television featuring video-on-demand and pay-per-view, high-speed internet access, and local and long distance phone service on one bill. That service will be available to East Sac residents. Already the service is in operation in Arden, Natomas and Sierra Oaks.
