A Message From MENA’s President

First of all, I would like to start off by saying thank you, to all of MENA?’s many members for allowing me the opportunity to become MENA?’s President. Being President of such a great neighborhood organization is quite an honor and a job I plan on serving to the best of my abilities and with the utmost dedication. Fortunately, having been a Board Member for the last couple of years has afforded me the opportunity to become more knowledgeable about East Sacramento and allowed me to develop some great neighborhood contacts. My years as a board member has developed the skill set required to serve as MENA?’s President.

MENA has been blessed to have such strong leadership and a current Board whose dedication, skills and knowledge of various subjects continues to amaze me every single day. Most importantly, MENA is fortunate to have such an active membership. Members who are always willing to volunteer countless hours and help out in the East Sacramento Neighborhood every time the call of need is made.

MENA could not be as active and strong as it is without such a dedicated group of members. I want to say thank you to all the members who volunteered their time or made donations to the Neighborhood Rummage sale at the Hart Senior Center. It is our member?’s time and donations to the sale, which allowed MENA to raise funds for yet another neighborhood project. I also want to say thank you to the MENA members who helped make the Smell the Roses Event at the McKinley Park Rose Garden so successful. This was a fantastic day for many local nursing home seniors whom enjoyed the music of a local band, flowers, refreshments and being able to interact with members of the East Sacramento Community.

Events in East Sacramento like these are one of the many reasons why I love East Sacramento and look forward to many more events to come.
