Approaching the MENA space at the Neighborhood Association Flea Market was similar to being at an auction. Thanks to the East Sacramento community the donations of furniture, dolls, art work, china, ethnic clothes, children clothes designer bags, a vintage bicycle and money were just some of the items that were sold to net over $500. This was over double the amount from last year. Of course, the money will be used for the beautification and improvement of East Sacramento. ?“It?’s a great way to spend a morning and even better because it helps a good cause,?” said Gigi who volunteered along with her friend Robert Rodriguez. If it weren?’t for all the volunteers including Howard Schmidt and Nileen Verbeten it wouldn?’t have been the huge success that it was. And of course, special thanks to Board Member Victoria Pettaway for leading MENA on this project!
