Remember the problem with the Union Pacific trains idling in the Riverpark neighborhood ?— polluting their air and disturbing their peace?
MENA has received final confirmation from Union Pacific that they will relocate trains needing to remain at idle to a non residential area near CSUS. Union Pacific is completing some construction that causes night noise, but says they will be done by April. Union Pacific will also purchase and install SMART start equipment to reduce the need to remain in idle and increase the efficiency of restarting engines.
Attend the April 2nd MENA Board meeting to learn more about these and other projects.
