Please join the Sacramento Police Department, city staff, neighbors throughout Sacramento and the nation for the ?“22nd Annual National Night Out?” crime/ drug prevention event on Tuesday, August 2. Several events are planned to occur in neighborhoods throughout Sacramento such as block parties, bicycle rodeos, cookouts, ice cream socials, parades, flashlight walks, youth activities and anti-crime rallies. This year?’s events will start at 6 pm and wrap up around 10 p.m. Residents throughout the nation unlock their doors, turn on their exterior lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors, police and city staff.
If you and your neighbors on your street are interested in participating in this year?’s National Night Out you will need to contact Tawnya Zuckswert at 566-6418 to request an application. All applications are due no later than July 26.
To block off your street for the event you must pick up the application at the Coloma Community Center located on T Street. The forms must be filled out and turned in 20 days before the event date. The fee will be waived for that night only! If you have any questions about street closure please call Tabitha Ross at 808-3821.
