This note is to inform the neighbors of Madison Park of some recent vandalism on Seacroft Road. This past Saturday night our car, parked in front of our house, had all four tires slashed between the hours of 8pm - 2am. This was not the first time this has happened. It also happened in early January to both cars in our driveway. We do not know who could be doing this and believe it to be a random act of vandalism. In an effort to keep our neighborhood safe please remember to always report suspicous behavior to the police.

Thanks!

Sorry to see your tires were slashed.  I saw this Sunday while out walking my dogs.  I was hoping the air was just let out, which would of been bad enough, but could not tell from a glance.

Another neighbor just slightly down from your home showed me Sunday where his Jeeps top was cut top to bottom.  This happened in his driveway 3 weeks earlier he said.

I am glad you reported this to the police.  Hopefully with your posting others will be more alert to what is going on in our neighborhood.

Marty,

Thanks for all that you do for this neighborhood. Should I reach out to our local CMPD representative to try to increase patrols?

Never hurts to give feedback to City.   They have been working hard to be more visible.

You might have read in last months minutes that our commuity officers came into our community in plain clothes acting suspicious to see if anyone would call 911 last month.   They back into driveway adn so forth trying to be noticed.  They caught the attention of a couple of people...but no one called 911.

A lot of the break ins have happened during the day light hours.   I am not certain how many officers patrol at night.  It might be good to have area residents with concerns such as you let them hear directly.  They much rather hear directly from citizens instead of citizens calling the city officials and complaining.   They try to be very responsive to concerns of residents.   Hopefully they can add a few extra patrols that might help out with this problem.

The officers appreciate hearing from the communities.  You can e-mail the new Response Area Commander Sgt. J.N.Husley at Jhusley@cmpd.org.

Copy Officers Hairston and Officer Lim.  They both work hard for us and do a great job.   glim@cmpd.org and Phairston@cmpd.org.
