Two weeks ago my little dog woke up at 5 am and was stuck in a severe reverse sneeze and having a seizure at the same time. I had my neighbors dog spending the night. This was like a sudden severe attack on my dog. The vet said she was in heart failure and set me up with a speciality vet. Over $800 dollars later the cardio vet said my dogs heart was perfect. I told my vet I had to have something for my dog. She was wheezing and making horrible noise. Then her sister started the same thing. I had some antibiotics and started them and also used a rescue inhaler and both seemed to make improvements. The dose my vet gave my dogs was less than what I had started her on that was working.
2 weeks after this all started the above email was sent out.
My dogs go for a walk every day. The do not socialize with other dogs. We don't really even get close to other dogs.
So this is something very contagious.
I would strongly urge everyone to get the Bordetella vaccine.
I really thought my little dog was going to die in my arms more than once. I spent an entire week trying to help her breath during the night.
