BRIEF HISTORY:
In March of 1996, Madison Park School, Duck and Decanter, The Twelfth Street Business Block Watch,Canal North Neighborhood Assoc. and Neighborhood Partners met to develop ways to enhance the beauty, safety, and community spirit in our neighborhood.
Working together, we find solutions to the issues and concerns which impact the quality of life in our communities. We have sponsored neighborhood clean-ups, developed school-business partnerships, and organized special events that have addressed these issues and concerns.
ALLIANCE GOALS:
To encourage and facilitate communication between all members of the community.
To encourage liaisons and partnerships among community members, coordinating our many talents and strengths.
To create healthy, safe activities and opportunites for children, thereby contributing to their bright and successful futures.
To provide a forum to share and express problems and concerns, so that we may combine our resources and efforts for effective results.
To sponsor activities and events for the community that will address and improve the quality of life.
To provide positive community action before problems escalate.
MEETINGS:
Alliance meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at Madison Park School. All members of this community are invited to attend, and support the efforts of this action group.
