Mailboxes

Posted in: Hammetts Glen

Couldn't be any more than three days ago when I drove into

our driveway and noticed that our mailbox has gotten dull

and drab and no longer looks in place with the boxes of me

neighbors.  I mumbled something about "gotta paint that

thing".  So, let's do it.

Is there any interest in getting our mailboxes repainted? Some people have suggested it and I would like some feedback from the community.

yes

obviously civility and thoughtful discussions are not something this lends itself to

No? I'm thinking this is Good Stuff! (refer to my Restaurant Review for ranking)

Seriously, Maxie has a point. From a painter's point of view he is right. Once you start painting something it will have to be painted again. But also from a homeowner's point of view, you can't let the boxes just look awful because you are worried about future maintenance. Painting will make them shine like new and there are some advanced coatings which will probably last at least 8 to 10 years before they have to be painted again... if you get the right painter to paint them.  ;)
