I for one value the tradition. The Easter Bunny passed out 102 eggs on the Saturday before Easter. It takes several volunteers to fill and distribute the eggs; my children have benefited from this event. Years later they helped with event and now the grand children make it a point to visit and get pictures with the bunny. How great is that!!!
If we are looking for a twist to the typical drive around the association and deliver eggs, quite possibly the association could utilize the space on Sheldon Drive or the Mennonite Church lawn for an Easter Egg hunt and pictures with the bunny. Although seeing the kids run out of the house to the Easter Bunny is priceless.
Who would like to volunteer to play the bunny in 2010? It is a great way to get teens involved and the only requirements are no talking and keep the costume on. |
