Back by popular demand is DISASTER ALLEY!

Back by popular demand (after much begging and pleading) is DISASTER ALLEY! Now that our facility is available, it will be a permanent part of all Refreshers. Also making a return to the Refresher will be LIVE FIRES. You will be extinguishing actual fires, maybe pallets, maybe a trash bin, maybe a car, who knows! Whatever we burn will be too big for a fire extinguisher, so you will be pulling hose off a fire engine for this task.
We will also be receiving assistance from local nursing schools and make-up artists to make the victims in the medical portion look as realistic as possible.
It has also been rumored that there will be a competition where the winners will get lunch and a ride through the harbor on the new Fire Boat.
Joining us that day will be award-winning TV personality, Huell Howser. He graciously accepted our invitation and will be bringing his film crew.

I am making a request of all CERT members who have CERT vests and patches.

On the CERT vest, please only adhere the patch to the left upper front panel.

It is also very important to remember NOT to wear any other organization's shirt/apparel with the CERT vest.

In this time of heightened awareness and heightened National alert, it is imperative that we reduce any potential confusion of affiliations. Our identification should remain simple and easy to identify for the first responders (Firefighter/Police) whom we are trying to assist.

So let's keep it simple, as close to a uniform as we have. I hope this is not an inconvenience for anyone.

Thank you
Don Lee, Captain
CERT Coordinator
