Marlborough Neighbors,

I'm sending this message relative to the trimming/cutting of various trees in our neighborhood, e.g., Palm, Pine, Eucalyplus, etc. Our goal has and continue to be to make our neighborhood the best in the City of Mesa.

We have a Neighborhood Contractor who, so far, has done an excellent job with the work completed. Sadly, as I drive around our neighborhood, I still see a lot of trees that need, in my opinion, trimmed and/or cut. We need to get the word out and I'm asking everyone for their help. I'm also asking Alma Jones, once again, to run a brief article in the next Monthly Newsletter concerning this Headline/Subject. Thus far, the Contractor has given us good prices. Each of the neighbors will work out their arrangements with the Contractor and we will document the date, time, price, and a date the work is to be done. They also do Garden Plants, remove all types of trees but specialize in Palm Trees. As the Neighborhood Coordinator for this project, I'm working very close with the Contractor to make sure everyone and everything goes smoothly.

Finally, I have a new phone number to reach me if you or any of our neighbors would like to call and discuss this project. The number is 480.839.8957. As always, you can reach me by e-mail. So please call or e-mail and let's discuss. Thanks!!

queen palms

Not wanting to cause any problems for your quest to keep the yard and trees up, I feel I do need to post this.

I had the tree service feed and fertilize my 20 year old queen palms in my back yard. I had 4 of them. The key word here is ''had'', as they have all died - within 2 months of 'treatment'. Thier cause of death is unknown - possibly some type of virus, I don't know, but if some of you have lost queen palms this year, I'd like to know if you found a reason. It was sad to see them die - they were beautiful trees.
Same problem

I had the same problem, as well as my neighbor accross the street. I think it was a scam as the same truck that trimmed the tree, but different driver came by and offered to cut down and remove the dead tree for $125.00, which I rejected. I later read in the newspaper about a gang going around town doing this. As I look up and down Pecos Ave., I have seen a lot of dead palm trees???????? I got ripped.

3 Families?

Jimmie,
Do you know the landscaping company people well? Would you let them know of these problems? It is strange that here on this board we find there are 3 families to whom this has happened, don't you think?

Perhaps it is not too late for them to make some type of restitution to these families before we pass their name along to others.
