What happened with the police and hellicopters last night in our neigborhood?

I'm curious to know if everybody came out of it as well.  No news stations have picked up the story as of yet.  The "rumor mill" tells me that a woman on Portobello was threatening to hurt herself and a firefighter told me to go back inside as there was a "SWAT situation" with guns drawn.  I also observed a flashing bright light, loud boom and saw smoke, which another neighbor said was a stun grenade.  Supposedly a negotiator was brought in as well.  I'd sure like to hear if everyone's ok, especially since I believe children live in the house, too.

There was a death threat with extreme police action.  Someone in the house had a gun. 
Literally, police had to “smoke” them out. This home is on Portobello.  No one was killed or hurt, thankfully.  However, at least 1 is in the hospital.  As far as I know, there were no young ones in the home.

This was indeed a different incident than in Rancho Del Mar.  A young lady with a child was killed in that incident.  This one happened in about the same time frame as here in Marlborough Mesa.

What was the Rancho Del Mar incident where the lady and child were killed?  Is that in our neighborhood?
