Hope all is well.  For a quicker response, I recommend contacting the rental storage place to ask them if the oleanders are part of their property.   The good neighbor approach is best policy, in my opinion.  If they are responsible for the oleanders, simply explain the situation/concern.  Many times, neighbors don’t realize that trees/shrubs have grown out into someone else’s property.   Asking them to trim the oleanders is a great way to bring this issue to their attention.   You could even ask for permission to trim them up a bit.  I wouldn’t be able drive by and take a look at the oleanders until sometime next week.  Without taking a look at the oleanders, I’m not quite sure who they belong to.

Try this approach, if the oleanders are not part of their property, let me know.

Thanks,

We also have the oleanders behind our house and a couple of years ago the city came out and cleaned up the trash & trimmed them down. The city was called out by the storage facility

When they get too tall and lean over the fence we do trim them back & tehy provide shade in the summer for the back of the house.

I would also prefer that they remain there to keep people/kids from walking back there. I think they need to fix the gates at both ends so that there isn't easy access in & out of the walkway.
