Mayfair in Tampa Palms

While having my air conditioner serviced again this morning, a neighbor came and mentioned that we now have 3 houses in a row on Abbey Park that had AC problems within the last 3-4 days. I understand that there is a new ''drug'' problem in stealing Freon from outside air conditioners and sniffing it as a drug. Some of my problems involve Freon but not all. Has anyone heard of this and/or had the same problem recently? If so, we need to add this to our watchful eyes in Mayfair. I have noticed several ac repair trucks in our neighborhood in recent weeks.

A/C issues

You can't rule anything out in todays world, but I don't believe any one is messing with our A/C's. Remeber all these A/C units on Abbey Park were installed at the same time, some where around October 2000. That puts them at about six years old. If you don't service your A/C regualarly, you will have problems. I just had mine serviced for a clogged condenser line. Not totally unusual for units about this age. As always, I will keep a close eye on the neighborhood at night, just in case. Thanks Karen!
