What is being done to enforce the neighborhood rules?  Why do I still see people with Christmas Lights hanging, shutters hanging off, garbage cans on the streets for days????  I really am starting to regret buying a home in this neighborhood.  It is turning into a dump and I am embarrassed to ever have people visit.  I just wish people would take pride in what they own.  I mean if you see trash in your own yard...pick it up!

I know the economic situation is hard on everyone....people are losing their homes to foreclosure, etc. but that doesn't mean that the entire neighborhood has to suffer.  I am so worried that when I go to sell my house (5-7 years from now) that it will be worth nothing...not because of the economy but because of what has happened to the community.

Does anyone feel the same way????!?!???!!???

I feel the same way you do.  If you see a rule violation report it to Brooks Owings at Pinnacle Management.  The mailing address is P.O. Box 77072  Charlotte, NC 28271-7000.  I've worked with Brooks about rule violations I've seen in the past and he has acted quickly on them.

Don't underestimate your ability to make a positive impact on the neighborhood.  If you see a violation send a note to Brooks including the address of the home in violation.  You can do this anonymously.  He'll then send a letter to the owners instructing them to comply with the rules.

Seasonal holiday decorations should be removed within 30 days of the holiday.  Garbage cans are supposed to be removed from the street by midnight on the day of collection.  While falling shutters are unsightly, I haven't been able to find any rule that actually forbids them, so there's little the management company could do about it.

gmf1982,

We on the Board are very frustrated with the irresponsibility of some, which affects us all.  Pinnacle Management is doing all  it can to get people to clean up their properties.  Letters are being sent, fines are being charged etc.  It's a process that sometimes unfortunately, takes time.  We have people parking cars on sidewalks, garbage being thrown around, dog poop not being picked up and our Park is being used for undesirable activities.  Our neighborhood is changing because of vacant houses and owners/investors are not Background checking the tenants they rent their homes to and SOME of these renters are contributing to the problems we now face. And SOME owners who live here don't take care of their property.  We live here too and are not going to allow SOME to bring down our community.  Believe me, we are aware of what's going on and are taking proactive measures.  But, we can't do it alone, we need the eyes and ears of residents like yourself.  If you see something that's not right, let Brooks know.  We need specifics in order to try to take care of the problem.  If you see suspiciious activity, call the police.  You don't have to give your name, just specifics.

Thank you for reasurring me that things are being done.  I have been calling Pinnacle Management and I know that things take time.  Its so frustrating because this neighborhood has the potential to be great!  The location is IDEAL (as owners we can profit from this) and the amenities are good as well....especially for children.

Although, I see MANY teenagers in this community and I am not sure that they are always being 'behaved'.  I dont know how many times I have to swerve around them when driving just because they REFUSE to move form the middle of the street.  I have actually witnessed a young lady with an attitude SIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, refusing to move while a car was stopped waiting for her to do so.  SOOOOO DISRESPECTFUL.  I would have said something to her but I am in fear that she and her friends will vandalize my property.  I am not much older than some of these kids and I would NEVER think to act this way.  It saddens me.

Thank you again for your replies and be assured that you have my eyes and ears to help you out!!!
