City of Meadow Vale

Hey on the early morning of November 26th a car in my driveway was broken into. They stole my sisters purse (the one time she leaves her purse in her car) They shattered the window and threw her purse in a neighbors yard. Took her wallet. Just warning people has anyone else seen any bad behavior or knows anything let me know please.

We have Neighborhood Watch to assist you and other residents in dealing with and avoiding situations like this. About 3 weeks ago we found out there had been several incidents like this.  Your post did not indicate where you live.

I hope you did the following:

     Call 911 and report the theft - if police have a pattern, they might catch the criminal(s).

     Call your Neighborhood Watch Block Captain - maybe one of you neighbors saw  

     something, but you'll never know until the community starts working together. 

Do you know who your Neighborhood Watch Block Captain is?

Is there any way we can get any more information about this rather than leaving people wondering if it happened on their street or in the driveway of the house behind them?  I noticed that it was not posted until over at least 13 hours after ir got daylight.  Why post it at all if it is "old news" and practically void of facts.  Did you call the police so they can watch for the "bad behavior" that you mentioned?  Did you inform Neighborhood Watch?  Do you know what Neighborhood Watch is?

Why stir people up or put some in fear?  What are you going to do if someone does tell you about "bad behavior" as you call it?  Methinks that is the job for the police to gather crime scene information.  You did call them, didn't you?

Come on folks, let's work together - this crime stuff is going to get worse unless we put out the word COLLECTIVELY loud and clear that we are a community that works together to stay safe.  If a cranky old biddie like me can be part of Neighborhood Watch, everyone can.  I even surprised myself and my husband when I got all dressed up to go to that meeting last summer, but I am in.  I just volunteered to be an alternate block captain or something like that.

Old news? Maybe if I posted it weeks after the event it would be concidered "old news". I had a lot going on that day plus small children! I do have a life. I simply was posting what happened at my house that day! I am not  about listing my address on the internet but if you must know I live on Tristan. I was asking if anyone had seen any sketchy behavior that night or anything odd. Ive not seen "bad behavior" if you can read you can see I was asking if anyone had noticed anything odd that night. We called the police and had them file a report. It was a car not a house that was broken into quite different. The officer said it is the time of year for things like this and he sees this all the time at the malls. He told us he rarely has seen complaints or issues like this in our neighborhood its usually Hurstborne Neighborhood accross the street.I dont see how this is old news seeing as it just happened that day.  My bad I have other things to do like help calm my sister down and see to it she gets her car fixed and things in order before I posted this,seriously! I guess we shouldve posted this before we called her bank and credit card companies? REALLY!  I was simply asking if anyone happened to see anything out of the ordinary? Maybe some kids running around who looked like they were up to no good. I was curious if anyone elses cars had been broken into that night. Im not sturing fears simply stating facts. Does it really matter if I posted this several hours after it occured or the next day? Point is I am letting you know what happened.Im not a mindless person who wants to start drama. Ive been a part of this neighborhood for well over 30yrs! I havent seen any bad behavior I was asking if anyone else has! Read before you react next time!
