I've lived here for 30 years. It's had its ups and downs, the wooden fences look bad, espec. after all this time. I've had mine replaced, and will soon be building a block wall on one side, split cost with neighbor. The best thing, I think, about living here is the location. It is convenient to everything....stores, medical, hospital, churches, schools, and I-10, etc. The homes were poly-piped which is no longer used, and most homes had to be re-piped. If your inspector did not pick up on that, sue him. It's costs a fortune to have it repiped. Other than that, I have enjoyed living here, and the pool is fabulous.
My husband and I are looking to buy a home in Meadowbrook. We love the look of the community but a friend of ours warned us about HOA's, any HOA's, are potentially a bothersome nuisance in life. After seeing your post, I am concerned about buying in Meadowbrook now. What are your dealings with the Meadowbrook HOA and would you buy in Meadowbrook again?
