  • Respect-O-Meter: Valued Neighbor

-Where to begin, since moving into this neighborhood life began to change, for the worse.

-At first the police were called to our residence for parked vehicles in front of our house, it was never our vehicles, they were the neighbors. Now where ever you turn (especially on the back streets) you can't even walk the dogs with out getting ran over.

-The fences that were thought of (these wooden pieces of junk) are not even good for burning for warmth. The pipes had to be replaced, the A/C units were mismatched, too small of a unit outside for what was in the garage. The roofs suck and between the beetles and termites are killing tress and eating up our foundations.

-I don't believe it to be a good idea to let renters move into the Association, but I don't blame the owners for leaving. A couple of years ago, our vehicles and yards (there are atleast five other households that had to deal with this!) were being vandalized. From shopping carts left in our yards, broken windows, spray paint, and having trailers and cars to be shot up by BB guns, egged cars, slashed tires and a $40,000 truck keyed (scratched by means of a sharp metal object) from fender to fender and all along one side of the truck. The sad thing several people that I knew moved out, and there were many other victims.

-We installed a security light on the garage with a motion sensor, got all kinds of letters for it. What about these Basketball backboards, are they ARCHITECTUALLY appoved? What about the small rock out front that was suppose to be replace with larger rock? Fences of all kinds out in the front yard? Vehicles left in the front of peoples houses for months? Oil stains that once was frowned on? Houses that need to be painted? What about the house(s) that has plastic sidings, I was told it had to be wood? There are also those houses that are coverd up with foilage that you can't even see the paint, and the you have these people that believe in walking their dog off leashes. The park is ment for families and is not concidered a "dog park". Besides the is a leash law for Pima County and Tucson Metro.

- These are all things we must up hold, I understand that, but why is it so lenient for some and not others. Why is it even lenient at all?

-If this helps anyone to decide weather to move into this Association, my only advice is if you must deal with an Association, buy newer.
