While the spirit of neighborliness was important on the frontier because neighbors were so few, it is even more important now because our neighbors are so many.
~Lady Bird Johnson
Dear Resident:
Meadow Creek Neighborhood Association NEEDS YOU! We, as an association, are being kept alive by the efforts of seven people. That's difficult to do when most of us work full time jobs and support approximately 1,450 homes.
For the past 3 1/2 years, progress has been made to bring Meadow Creek back "up" with the help of the Fort Worth Police Department,Code Compliance, and City Parks/Forestry Departments. Please don't let it lose ground. Get involved! We need fresh blood.
If you are not a member, please seriously consider becoming one and help us become a strong, vibrant neighborhood. If you are a member, please continue to attend meetings and volunteer to help with the needs of the neighborhood.
You may ask, "So what if I don't join? How will that affect me? or the neighborhood"? The following are some of the repercussions we would experience:
1. No representation with the League of Neighborhoods Association that provides a
united voice to government entities.
2. Less validity with City Council or any city agencies
3. Lose out on the educational programs we present at our meetings.
4. Individual residents do not have the same clout in city government as an organization.
5. Our Neighborhood Association dies due to lack of interest. This has happened in the
past. Please don't let it happen again
Mark your calendars now for our next general meeting on Thursday, September 13th at
7:00 P.M. at Meadowridge Community Baptist Church, 3400 Charleston Ave. at McCart.
It's a start.
Sincerely,
Your Neighborhood Association Board
