My group has been asked to expand our boundaries in the past to problem areas.  I do not go into the woods, I stay on the two roads (Trammel Davis & Norwood).  My kids do patrol with me.  Call CPS, they will laugh at you. You really should do your homework before commenting sometimes. We do not comfront individuals.  We are simply the eyes and ears for the police dept.

I know it's a sore subject.  But, it's getting old people.  It ticks me off too.  I've given my 2 cents to him as well, as mentioned in a previous forum.  I've taken my opinion to the Lieutenant and back.  There is nothing that I or the HOA can do. I just had to put my foot down and say that my group would not be a part of the ATV issue.

If you notice, he's not commenting on here.  He is probably reading this and laughs knowing that he has all your feathers still ruffled.  And as long as you all keep it up he will continue to feed the anger.  Ridiculing people who are trying to do the right thing is not going to get him to quit.  It does nothing but create animocity.

Did you see the COPS kill the boars?  That's awful! Boars are very aggressive and there was an issue in the Lakes of River Trails North.  But, I did not realize they killed them.  There were some people hunting for them in the woods.  It's legal to hunt them but, illegal to hunt in city limits.  A couple did get hit by the train about a year ago.  We just liked watching them from our vehicle.

Actually what is getting old is the cops coming out.  And it is a sore subject because of that.  Also,  I am not sure I totally understand what you are saying either.  Because we find this to be an issue in our neighborhood,  we should be silent because you find it mundane?   That voicing our opinion is getting old?  I think you know we have asked that Mr. Newell be present at the next meeting to meet with him about this subject and others.  Subjects that HOA nor COPS have the answers too.  Are we not suppose to ask to meet him?  Are we suppose to lay down and accept it because this gentleman thinks its funny that we are still complaining?  No,  I don't think so.  It must be awful for this man to go thru life without any friends or neighbors that like him.  Sad really.  IMO it wouldn't matter if everyone fell silent about the ATV issue,  the cops would still be called and their valuable time wasted chasing down families riding ATV's.    I am not ridiculing anyone that hasn't deserved it.  What I have posted is truth and if this causes animosity than I am sorry you or anyone else feels that way.  My intent is to find the truth to questions I have regarding issues in this neighborhood.  I am not going to take his word as truth as others have. 

I didn't know it was legal to hunt the boars in the woods.  It's a shame some were hit by the train.  I would imagine the cops were called to protect the neighborhood.  Just wish it had been dealt with in a better manner.    

COPS is not a benefit of being part of the HOA.  It's just people looking out for one another.

The meetings went to once a year because no one would show.  Once a year with food gets about twenty people there. Unfortunently, without the threat of strip clubs or gas leases, hardly anyone cares or finds time to attend. I don't know when the next meeting is. I think officer elections are coming up in Sept.  Don't quote me, I'm not sure.  The HOA will have several open positions. Some that never get filled and some that will become open. I too hope that many of you will attend. Especially, if you are passionate about change and have some great ideas. I do know that there will be a  Crime & Safety Summer Picnic August 10th from 4:30 - 8:30 at River Trails Park.  Your neigborhood Patrol officer, Captain Sudan, maybe Councilmen Scarth will all be there.  So will the Fire Dept, Code Complince, SWAT, Safety Clowns (tenatively), Crime Prevention Officer, COP Coordinator, and more.  I hope to see you all there.  Fun for the kids, informational for the adults and a cheap dinner for the family. Not to mention, a great opprotunity to meet more neighbors from all over the neighborhood.

Have you tried just calling Ken directly?  His office is located at the corner of Trammel Davis and Precinct Line. It may be as easy as just stopping by and visiting with him.
