My favorite aunt in Senatobia MS sent me an email saying she spotted the first of the hummingbird scouts today.
They will begin showing up in our area in the next few weeks.

Humming birds come thru Memphis in the late spring but do not stay. They are coming back down from the north in the next week or so. I DO agree we need to get our hummingbird feeders ready.
I only have one feeder hanging up and I have had at least 3 hummingbirds show up for the last couple of years and they usually hang around till the end of September if I change the feeder regularly and keep it fresh.

I saw one!!

I finally put fresh nectar in my feeder yesterday and saw a beautiful little hummingbird today! Thanks for the heads up! I saw nothing but ants eating from the feeder until now! : )
