update on court case
the suspect, untonio ratliff is in jail. bond amount of $100,000. he has hired a private attorney. original charges were vehicular homicide & leaving the scene involving death. last wednesday, ricks autopsy showed death due to cardiac arrest, the charges were then lowered to aggravated assault and leaving scene of accident inv injury. very upsetting to the family, no one contacted them, they found out from channel 3 reporter. rick had no previous heart problems & never recovered from the injuries, he had constant pain & could not even eat. at fridays court, he waived right to hearing. case will go before grand jury, they will set charges, then will move to state criminal court is my understanding. Unlike our recent past president, I have no partisan ax to grind, but what's up with the District Attorney's office? Have they no sensativity to the families of murder victims? These grieving families should not have to learn of these ''bomb shells'' from a reporter or in the court room! Why did Mrs. Green have to find out this information like this? Why did Mrs. Wright have to first find out a deal was made with the scum bag who killed her husband in the open court room, when we all know these ''deals'' are worked out ahead of time? I understand that sometimes deals have to be made, but the families should be informed first. Madam President, please post who we can call at the District Attorney's office, or any other official in reference to Green case. Mad as heck in Colonial Acres! |
