Pool parties on Mockingbird

Posted in: Colonial Acres
cranky, cranky

Perhaps being friendlier with our neighbors would get us an invite to one of their parties, eh? Yell over the fence, and I'm sure they would have turned down their volume without any sort of argument.

This couple works nights...I'm glad they don't complain about my noisy lawn mower and edger when they are trying to sleep.

Their house is on the market if it makes anyone feel better. They are only asking 94K. I can't wait to see who moves in next. Before we know it, the new neighbors will be grilling goats in the carport.

They have been good neighbors to us, and are constantly improving their property. I will be sad to see them go.

Just asking for consideration

As far as loud parties go, cut off time is 9 pm for noise. The reason this neighborhood is better than most is because people do care about the law and expect their neighbors to follow it. Respect those around you and show them the consideration you expect during the week.
Not everyone has a Monday thru Friday job. We have several poilce officers, deputies, nurses, and firemen who live in the area. If they don't have enough rest, it's not good if we need their help the next day.
Loud parties are bad for another reason: while your stero is cranked, it makes it so much easier for a thief to break your car windows and help themselves to whatever they want. Who can hear them over the racket?
