I came upon a raccoon that behaved a little strange to me a couple of weeks ago. It was early in the morning and he just stood looking at me from about 5 feet away. Occasionally he would move away slowly and stumbling as he went, stopping every couple of feet to look back at me. Not once as I approached him did he seem scared, nor aggressive. Because of his stumbling and odd behavior, my take on it was that he was sick or injured, even though I saw no wounds, I thought it best to let him move on without getting any closer.
