Meter Readers/ MLGW gas credit

I see my meter being read as late as 5 in the afternoon but my bill always claims the reader was on site before noon. I may write out my next check to Memphis, Liars Gamblers and Waste and stick it in the MLGW bill and see if it goes thru. I bet it would !!!

I did call and try to schedule an appointment or at least a window of time. My husband and I both work, so no one is home. The MLGW customer service rep went around in circles for about 40 minutes until I decided to stop wasting my time. They basically said that I had to leave them access, otherwise the reading would be estimated. There isn't much I can do. Although I did some research about meters that are read by a computer and data is transmitted daily. You can even track your usage. I sent a letter to MLGW suggesting this. No response...

If MLGW refuses to have someone come out and read your meter correctly just send them $50 no matter what the bill says. Tell them if they are going to guess at your usage you are going to guess at what you owe...
