My work schedule usually does not allow me to attend the meetings. If anyone online does attend could they please let the rest of us know what was said.

I would like to know the following:

Do any of our representatives show up?
Does anyone from city council show up?
East Precinct Police or the Fire Station on Willow come to talk ??

Let us know if we miss anything good.

General Meeting 26 July 2007

New officers were elected: Wanda Tabor, President and D. P. Dwiggins, Treasurer - our Secretary, Kelley Stennis, was re-affirmed in her position - the position of Vice President remains open -
Safety Committee Report - Ron Buck gave a statistical overview of crime in the 38117 area as well as within a one-mile radius of Quince & Perkins, comparing 2006 and 2007 for crimes during the past few weeks and for year-to-date stats - these may also be viewed via the internet at memphispolice.org -
Steve Mulroy (County Commissioner) was present, and led the meeting in acknowledging the work done during the past year by our outgoing president, Lynn Strickland - Typically we receive visits from city council members two or three times a year -
We have had representatives from the East Precinct and the Fire Department in the past and will continue to do so in the future - two of our PACA representatives were present, however (PACA = Police and Citizens Alliance) -
Our state representative, Mike Kernell, has attended meetings in the past, but has been busy while legislation wraps up in Nashville - he will probably attend at least one of our meetings this fall -
