At the meeting the neighborhood representatives indicated that there appears to he sorre difficulty in negotiating with the owner oftlne last two lots for acquisition They asked us to detennine ifa corniriurity center could be constructed on the park without these last two parrels being acquired. Afier careflil consideration arid review ofibe plans, it is nw determination that the requested 4,000 sq. ft community center btnldmg with the appropriate parking could not be constructed on the ensttng property Sore ofthe thetors that make such a prcject difficult include the need to have an access through the park for etuergency vehicles even if the roadway is closed, and many large v~uable trees in the liark that would he difficult ifnot inpossibie to suocessilly ruove. Even irthe additional two lotsareacquired siting the 4,000 sq. ft buil~ng with the appiopnate parking area wiji be difficult. Without the additional properties, there is room on the existing park land for a buiiding no larger than 2200 sq. ft.
