By 400 AD, within a short space of less than 500 years from the time of Julius Caesar, the inhabitants of Rome were barely a pale shadow of the race who originally created the Empire. Immigrants from all over the Middle East and North Africa had turned it into a multi-racial melting pot made up of a mixture of Middle Easterners Semites, Africans, mixed race Egyptians, Syrians and Africans and original remnant Romans, with no national sense of identity or common purpose.

This my friends, Hits a little to close to home. This country is following in the foot steps of the Roman empire , As we allow more and more immigrants access to our land we hurry along the end of the Empire known as The United States of America. The similarities of Rome and America are so much alike, That I feel their ends will be much the same. As America moves farther away from a common good and morality and more towards individual freedoms and a anything goes mentality the more the country is weaken from the inside , The slow death has already started, Only strong decisive actions can save it. I'm not talking about protecting a person's rights, I'm talking about preventing the collapse of The Americam Empire. I'm not being dramatic, I'm just saying if you read about the fall of the roman empire, You will see that we have made many of the same mistakes they did and we continue to do so. KT

Except for the Native American Indian, we are all immigrants. Are you saying to stop letting immigrants into the country? How can we not let people from other countries in, when this is the principal this country was founded on? I do believe though, that Immigration should do a background check on people wanting to enter the US to weed out the ones who want to destroy us.

I think the loss of the traditional American family and the importance people put on material possessions is doing a good job of weakening this country. It seems the majority of people these days are just striving to make as much money as they can. Money and things are the main things people care about. Somewhere along the line things changed and not for the better.

Obviously we can't stop immigation, But when we have 1000's of illegals running across the border daily with no plans to become Americanised, Who do not want to learn the language, who will inhabit large areas of the country and will use their language as principal speech, Those who do not share the same values or ideologies as we grew up with, you will see major problems appearing, As California is seeing now and it is just the beginning, Ask yourself this, How would you like to see America in a day when 60 percent of the country is Muslim? Do you think our values and ideologies would get the respect we so willingly give to others,
I agree with you that the destruction of the traditional family has much to do with the problems we see today, Greed, selfishness also.The traditional family has been under attack since the 60's and there is no end in sight.

Now sure I would definately like to see a major reduction in immigration into this country, I would like for us to protect our borders and our language, I'm not trying to be mean, after all it is great to want to love everybody and to share and coexist in peace and harmony. But how long can that go on with people developing different agendas and with little history to bind them together.Think the American Indians are glad that those who didn't share the same life style and values as them came to roost in their country?
