Mid City West Community Council

What steps can individuals take to try and get speed bumps or policeing of areas? I live on a residential street North of Wilshire. People drive through our neighborhood so fast. I don't know if speed bumps will help, since it seems like people in SUVs only drive faster over them.

What do others think? In other cities old nieghborhoods in urban areas limit/control through traffic by blocking roads and so forth. It appears that Carthay Circle has a bit of that. How about some traffic planning for the area north of Wilshire?
