Tell them how you really feel

About living beyond our means in this
town! Decide what we as a town of conservative taxpayers want to spend on our taxes! Set reasonable pay caps for teachers salaries and limit hiring just to expand some departments kingdom!
The crime rate in the town and nationally has dropped by an significant amount
the number of police should reflect that fact! The largest drain on our tax base is by far is the schools!
The number of students remains more or less constant at 5000 dropping or raising slightly from year to year!
An evaluation of expenses shows the largest expenses are in teachers compensation and retirement funds, the teachers salaries now approach that of an upper manager in the private sector and their retirement of 80% of salary is well beyond the private sectors which is
about 40% maximum for all management! Allowing teachers an open ended salaried
structure will end all semblance of a rational tax base in Braintree!

The Braintree Selectmen

Knowing what we know now there is little danger
of Millis being shut down by the owners of N.L.,the Braintree selectmen
are culpable and have shown just what a bunch of tyrants they have
become!

We the owners and chief financial underwriters of this small town need
to regain control of our own affairs!

Too long have our elected officials perused their own agenda and
ignored the will of those who elected them! There seems to be little regard for
what we, the people, want only the interests of those who want total
control of all they can get out of the tax base!

This has gone on long enough, Braintree can't afford these run away
salaries any longer!

The growth of the school budget over these past ten years exceeds all
bounds, some$14.7Million growth over past 9 years/budgets, and the bulk
of that in teachers compensations!
