INNER CITY ALDERMEN MISSING IN ACTION, Lack of Representation Compromise Fond du Lac & North Plan

PATTERN
There seem to be a pattern with these district administrators, Gordon, Wade and Hines that lacks ?“integrity?”. It is ?“lock-step?” alderman privilege that means all three refuse to respond.
FOR SHOW - They appear to be ''FOR SHOW'', lacking substance; taking their constituents ''for granted''.
MISUSE OF THE ''ALDERMAN PRIVILEGE'' COURTESY - ''Vote on an issue'' without knowing what the constituents say or want. Appearing to ?“vote on an issue?” without adequate investigation and depending solely on Department of City Development.
FOR THEMSELVES - committee heads, other appointments and referrals. Word is, ?“Hines is bargaining for Chairmanship?”
FOR THEIR COLLEAGUE - ''Lock-step policy making'' ?– ?“I vote for you and you vote for me?”. Never mind if it is the right thing to do.
FOR ''BIG?–BOX RETAILER'', support of large big-box developments without mandate from the constituents. Seen as campaign pay-offs when developers and/or representatives are reported as contributors to election campaign by significant donations.
When the aldermen find it convenient, they use the ''MY CONSTITUENTS'' flag, yet,
.....their constituents are the most ''unformed of the issues and policies''. Use of densely populated area of people of color for leverages that do not translate for the masses of their area. They are the ?“most underserved?”.
.....their constituents were not informed that the plan was tied to a State Law and was a ''20-year plus plan. That, Smart Growth supports the citizens coming together and ''writing'' their plan with a check for government resources as seen fit.
In a recent, Zoning, Neighborhood & Development Committee Meeting, March 16, 2004, Alderman Willie Hines, sent his Legislative Assistant down to speak on his behalf. His Legislative Assistant, when this is no doubt the most powerful adoption related to his constituents and his term as a City of Milwaukee legislator.
He sent his Legislative Assistant for his ?“constituents?” meeting BUT, came down himself for the Tourism Meeting about an hour before, at the same Zoning, Neighborhood & Development Committee. HOW ARROGANT. HOW UN-THINKING. HOW DISRESPECTFUL.
Alderman Willie Wade, suggested to the leaders present at the March 16, 2004 meeting that, ?“If anyone felt that they have not been involved, they should contact their alderman?”. It was also mind-boggling, since he was one of the Alderman - that he had been contacted - he had not provided leadership in representation.
As for representation and leadership actions from the office of Alderman Fred Gordon, he has a long, long history of disconnectedness. ''No response''. ''No return on telephone calls''. ?“No townhall meetings,?” and, ''unacceptable actions for an Alderman/District Administrator?”.
NOT THIS TIME - A NEW DAY
It is a new day. Those representing the Inner City area, will be held accountable. They will be tried in the neighborhood, tried in the media and tried in the courts if necessary to restore INTEGRITY in the LEADERSHIP for the district represented and targeted area of Fond du Lac & North Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan.
We will also monitor ?“Resolutions?”, ?“votes?”, ?“election campaign contributors, and ?“give-aways?” of government funds and property.
