MONTEFINO VILLAGE NEWS
Parking Concerns. A number of residents have had the misfortune of having their vehicles towed. The failure of some people to abide by parking rules caused us to employ a towing service to patrol our community, and that procedure is not always perfect. However, it has eliminated most of our parking violations. Please remember the prohibition against parking 1) on the fire lane side, 2) on the paved or bricked cul du sacs, 3) overnight on our streets and 4) parking for longer than 72 hours in the public spaces.
Rentals. A number of realtors seem not to understand that while sale signs are permitted, rental signs of any form are prohibited in our community. Also, some owners and realtors are offering properties for short-term rentals. These are prohibited by our CC & Rs.
Clubhouse Exercise Room. The exercise room is available for general use of residents and their guests. Please remember when you leave to lock the exercise room doors and turn out the lights and turn off the fans. As a courtesy to others, please leave the equipment configured as you found it.
Garbage and Recycle Containers. The CC&Rs (Sec. 3.4) require that such trash and recycle containers be returned to out of sight storage on your property within 18 hours of pick up. These bins are a real eye sore when left out at the curb for days after garbage or recyclable pick up, and to do so is discourteous to your neighbors. Please respect your neighbors by voluntarily complying with the rules on such containers.
Improvement Projects on Tap. Three maintenance items recommended by our reserve study for 2008 action will be completed this year. Our greenway light fixtures have been replaced and poles repainted. Our asphalt streets will be resealed this year, hopefully with a minimum of disruption to traffic and parking. We also are repairing the common walls and repainting them. The walls enclosing your property are your responsibility to repair and repaint. You may wish to speak with the contractor about having your walls done while it is on-sight.
