 CC & R Amendment Vote. Owners will soon be receiving a notice of special meeting regarding a proposed amendment to the amendment section of our CC & Rs. We have so many absentee owners that achieving a valid vote on CC&R amendments is almost impossible. As we mature, our community rules periodically need to be updated. Please respond to the notice and related documents you will receive.

Montefino Rules Summarized. Not all rules pertaining to the community are found in the CC&Rs. The Board of Directors has rulemaking power in many areas of community life. The Board recently prepared an informational piece entitled Montefino Village Rules and Information. It includes many items from the CC&Rs, and Board enacted rules, that people either overlook, or about which they have questions. We distributed this document to known rental homes. It is also posted on website, but if you wish a copy please contact Tennille Laidlaw at Premier Community Management.

Safety Concerns. Head injuries are the most common cause of death and disability in children. It is estimated that wearing of bicycle helmets reduces the risk of serious head injury in accidents by as much as 85%, and the risk for brain injury by as much as 88%. Although Arizona isn’t one of them, 21 states require children (usually under the age of 16) to wear helmets when bicycling. Please protect your youngsters by requiring them to wear a helmet when riding bicycles, skateboards, scooters and the like.

Plantings. We have recently planted thirty trees as part of a plan to replace trees that have been lost in recent years. We have also made a planting of summer flowers. Keeping our community beautiful is one way of preserving our property values.
